About:
Polytical.org is an online e-zine, as well as both an organisational body & active part of the UK Poly community. We are here to help people who identify with any form of ethical non-monogamy, or people looking to find information about what polyamory and related relationship models actually are.We aim to be a hub for polyamorous community activities in the UK, and a centre for poly resources & information - particularly (but not exclusively) those pertaining to the UK. We hope to make as many opportunities for the UK poly community to get involved with practical activist activities as possible.Polytical is dedicated to providing a platform for writers, artists and other producers of poly-friendly media to present and promote their work to both the community and the world at large. All those who have something to express that is related to ethical non-monogamy are welcome on board the good ship Polytical.We also seek to raise the visibility of polyamory by liaising with mainstream media, facilitating community-created media and art projects, and distributing educational literature.
Current Projects and Initiatives:
We currently have a long list of projects that are in the planning stages, including educational leaflets for various audiences, a legal pack to help those in multiple committed relationships enjoy the same benefits that marriage can afford couples, a series of short films produced by and featuring the poly community, and a great many improvements to our website. All funding we raise will go towards helping us to get the ball rolling on at least some of these projects, and also go into supporting Polyday and OpenCon (the two key poly events in the UK) if required.
